12 Charlie Daniels Band

Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to present Southern country rock legends, The Charlie Daniels Band, on Friday, June 12. The Charlie Daniels Band is led by the outspoken Charlie Daniels, who is known for his fast-finger fiddling and his signature "bullrider" hat and belt buckle. Daniels formed The Charlie Daniels Band in the early '70s and recorded such memorable hits as "Long Haired Country Boy," "The South's Gonna Do It Again," "In America" and "The Legend of Wooley Swamp." Daniels is best known for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," which won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1979, in addition to Single of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards. The single not only topped the country charts but became a major crossover hit on the pop charts as well, and became the cornerstone of the top-selling Urban Cowboy movie soundtrack. 13 Peter Framption & Cheap Trick

Grammy Award-winning artist Peter Frampton is joining forces for a summer tour with 1970’s rock power-pop band Cheap Trick and on Saturday, June 13th they make a stop at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Hummingbird in a Box is the latest work from legendary musician Peter Frampton released in summer 2014. The new music was inspired by the Cincinnati Ballet, featuring seven original guitar pieces in Frampton's virtuosic stylings. Frampton composed all songs on the mini-album along with Gordon Kennedy, who also co-produced the recording. The two previously teamed up for Fingerprints, which garnered them both a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album. Peter Frampton is one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for the British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. 13 Dance With Mss Lindsay

“From Bollywood to Yankee Doodle Dandy to Tarantella and to Sleeping Beauty -- all forms of dance will be performed: ballet, tap, lyrical and contemporary,” says Miss Lindsay, instructor. Students ranging in age from three to adult will perform. Lindsay Kaufmann says the students have been practicing for several months and are excited about the two June 13 performances (2p.m. and 5p.m.). Miss Lindsay, as she is known to her students, believes that her role as an instructor goes beyond teaching ballet. Her combination of artistic ability and entrepreneurial spirit sets an example to the young girls that education is the key to a more enriching life. A Palm Springs Pool Festival, announces its return to the desert June 13-14 in conjunction with partner Goldenvoice. Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to present rock ‘n’ roll icon Gregg Allman on Friday, June 19. Allman is one of the founding members of the one and only Allman Brothers Band. The ABB had tremendous success in the early 1970s and introduced “Southern Rock” to the nation. In 2012, the group was honored at the 54thAnnual Grammy Awards with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Allman’s distinctive voice places him in the Rolling Stone list of the top “100 Greatest Singers of All Time." In 2011, his first solo record in 13 years, Low Country Blues, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album.
